Inaugural Rafferty’s Shootout set for Dec. 9 at South Warren

The inaugural Rafferty’s Shootout will be held on Saturday, December 9 at South Warren High School, The Sporting Times has learned.

The field includes 10 boys’ basketball teams, including six from Region 4 in Warren East, Warren Central, Bowling Green, Franklin-Simpson, South Warren and Cumberland County. Owensboro Catholic, Paducah Tilghman, Central Hardin and Ensworth (Tenn.) round out the other four schools.

The slate will begin at Noon (CT) when Warren East vs. Owensboro Catholic tips off. Following the opener, Warren Central and Paducah Tilghman will meet at 2 p.m. with Bowling Green and Ensworth set for a 4 p.m. tip.

In the nightcap, Franklin-Simpson will take on Central Hardin at 6 p.m. while an 8 p.m. contest featuring South Warren and Cumberland County will conclude the day’s schedule.
