The Bowling Green Sports Masters and the Bowling Green Area Lodging Association have come together with a mission to recognize high school senior athletes in this regional area. South Central Outstanding Regional Excellence in Sports Award (SCORES) is designed to honor the student athlete that has excelled through leadership and character as well as their athletic ability. A senior student athlete that has contributed to his/her team and represented their high school with honor and prestige all the while, demonstrating in their daily lives the values set forth by their schools.
- Overall male and female athlete for the school (Each of these athletes, 2 family members, their coach and AD or Principal will receive an invitation to the SCORES Banquet).
- One male and one female (when applicable) for each of the
14 sports governed by the KHSAA for 2013.
- Coach of the Year
- Sports Connection Overall Sports Program of the Year Award
- Sportsmanship Award
- Spirit Award
- Fan of the Year Award
A committee will choose the honorees and they will be recognized at the SCORES banquet on May 5th at The National Corvette Museum. The regional area will consist of: Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson and Warren Counties.
