Bats DeLaCruz to a Victory

It was a great night to be at Slugger field, as the Bats battled the Woo Sox to a 5-4 win. These teams showed why they are in contention. The Bats and Woo Sox went toe-to-toe for most of the night. Both teams experienced multiple deep shots to the wall, fielded by spectacular catches.
As the Bats trailed late in the 9th, It was Elly DeLaCruz who lit the night sky with a 437-foot shot, driving in 2 runs with his walk-off homer to win the game, 5-4. It is his 11th home run of the year.
DeLaCruz skill base is ever expanding and there is no question his time in Louisville will be limited. In the meantime, Bats fans are being treated to a true superstar in the making. He has energized both the team and fan base.
