Stepping out of regional play, the Purples traveled to Owensboro Tuesday night to take on the Red Devils. One of the top teams in the third region, this game could prove to be a good measuring stick for how BG is playing as the regular season draws to a close.
Another slow start for Bowling Green put the Purples behind early, but they only trailed 11-14 after the first quarter. The Red Devils seemed to have an answer for every BG basket in the second quarter, and the Purples trailed 39-26 at the half. Owensboro started the third quarter on a 8-0 run, and that was enough to keep the Purples at bay, and BG fell on the road 56-69.
The Purples close out District play with a double header night, hosting Warren East. Make sure to join us right here on PurplesNation.com!
