Purples Shake Off Rust in Second Half, Win Big on Road

After thawing out from Winter Storm Jonas, The Purples hit the road to take on Muhlenberg County.  The Mustangs have struggled so far under their new head coach, but they certainly came out ready to go on this Tuesday night.

After the Purples scored the first four points of the night, Muhlenberg County went on an 11-3 run to take their first lead of the game.  But the Purples would answer with a 10 point run of their own, and led after the first quarter 19-16.  Both teams would struggle from the field to start the second, but Clayton Stovall would lead a big run and put Muhlenberg County up at the break 31-27.  But the second half would be all Purples, as Bowling Green would match their first half total in the third quarter, spearheaded by Thomas Booker’s 11.  Bowling Green would then start the fourth with an 8-2 run, and cruise to victory 79-56.  Booker led the Purples in his first game back in uniform with 21 points.  Terry Taylor had 19, and DeAngelo Wilson also reached double figures with 15.
