Lady Raiders season Ends with a Fight in the District Tourney Play In Game

The Lady Raiders looked to keep their season alive Monday night as they traveled to Bowling Green High School for the 14th District Tournament play-in game against Greenwood. Warren East would go down with a fight. The first quarter would go the Lady Gators way, as they outscored the Lady Raiders 16-8. Summer Glass had all of the points for Warren East. The second quarter the Lady Raiders would be much more competitive, as they got outscored by 2 16-14 to trail at the half 32-22. Rose Mary Jackson had her way for Greenwood, leading the Lady Gators with 15 points. The second half Warren East outscored Greenwood 33-31, but could not get any closer than 7 points as they fell to the Lady Gators 63-55. The story of the night was Rose Mary Jackson for Greenwood, leading all scorers with 32 points. Warren East was led by senior Summer Glass with 14 points (Bluegrass Cellular Player of the Game). Cailyn Howard added 14 points as well for the Lady Raiders. Baylen Wardlow had 13 and senior Erin Houchins added 11 for Warren East. The Lady Raiders (2-22, 0-9 District) season ends with the loss tonight.
