In a game which might have been closer than the total yardage indicated, the North Hardin Trojans found a way to beat John Hardin in the traditional rival game between the two teams in week two. With both squads coming off a lopsided week one loss, neither could afford to start 0-2, so both teams kicked off the game with a BANG! Litterly as each had a kick return for a touchdown, but then the game settled down into a knockdown drag out fight between two rivals. In the end, North Hardin’s Lorenzo Lovejoy’s 24-yard fumble return was the final nail in the coffin as the Trojans won, 28-14. The funny thing is that both teams won’t be able to relax long as each has a murderous schedule remaining. 0E1A9802

After a rough start against 6-A power Simon Kenton, Meade County found a break against Anderson County as they returned to a tried and true friend “The Running Game.” The Green Wave pounded out 386-yards on the ground with Zach Babb piling up 197-yards and three touchdowns in a 48-0 win.

Grayson County suffered a tough loss to Hancock County in week one despite staying close much of the game and going into their game against Breckinridge County, head coach Jerome Smart felt a quick start was important. The Cougars got 133-yards rushing from Logan Kopp and a touchdown running as Grayson County threw the ball only three times completing just one pass as Grayson County won, 14-6. The Cougars suffered major injuries to several key starters including Noah Bullock, Jordan Stallings and few others so Smart will have to do some shuffling.

Surprise! Surprise! The Hawks are 2-0 after a 20-7 win over Russell County and Josh Jaggers team is doing it running the ball. Bryson Cobb pounded out 109-yards and two touchdowns and the defense has stopped teams from crossing the goal line allowing only a second quarter six.
