IRVING, Texas — WKU’s Mary Joiner has been named one of five members of Conference USA’S 2018 InTouch Credit Union Women’s Golf All-Academic Team, the league announced Friday.
Joiner, a native of Franklin, Ky., is the Lady Toppers’ first all-academic honoree since Ellinor Haag in 2016.
The sophomore currently has a 3.85 GPA and is majoring in finance.
Joiner leads WKU this season with a 73.8 stroke average and has seven top-20 finishes, five top-10s, four top-fives and two victories in 10 tournaments.
She has picked up the individual victory in two of her last three tournaments, giving her a program-record four wins in her career. She was also named C-USA Golfer of the Week three times in a five-week span this spring.
Joiner most recently took home the win at Eastern Kentucky’s Colonel Classic with a playoff victory on March 31.
The Lady Toppers conclude their season at the Conference USA Championship on April 16-18 in Fort Myers, Fla.
