Bell and Sutton Make State Team

Even though they were denied a chance to play in the 2020 season, there were 25 female tennis players that at least got one honor and that was on the 2020 Kentucky High School Tennis Coaches Assciation All Star team. Of those chosen from around the state, two from the Hardin County area made the team .

Senior Ann Bell of Elizabethtown High School

Senior Addison Sutton of North Hardin High School

Bell was a two-sport athlete, who excelled at both Soccer and Tennis and was part of the 2020 Region Champion of the Girls Doubles Division. Her partner was then sophomore Abby Henson when they won both the Conference and Region Doubles Title last year defeating North Hardin’s Lesleigh Lowman and Karina Carrasquillo.

Sutton was also a two sport athlete, who played basketball and tennis and was the two-time Region Champion in the Girls Singles Division in 2018 and 2019 and finished Runner-up in 2017. In 2020, she defeated Elizabethtown’s Anastasia Newsome for the Championship and would have liked to have made it four straight trips to the Final in the Region this season.
