  1. Warren East                     5-2 

     Outlook: The state preseason #1 team has challenged itself through the first two weeks of the season. Coach Phil McKinney’s club played six of its first seven games on the road all throughout eastern Kentucky. Now they return to Bowling Green and will play back-to-back road games against talented two talented teams in South Warren and Greenwood.

2. South Warren                  5-0 

     Outlook: South Warren was ranked #10 in the preseason state poll and has won each of its first five games to begin the season. Coach Kelly Reynolds’ club will now host Warren East and Greenwood this week. We will know a lot of about the hierarchy of the 4th Region after this week.

3. Barren County                6-0 

     Outlook: Barren County has started the season a perfect 6-0 with wins over Allen County-Scottsville, Manual, and Bethlehem. The Trojanettes travel to Georgetown this weekend for three games in the Dan Powers Softball Classic at Great Crossing Park.

4. Greenwood                       2-2 

     Outlook: Greenwood is 2-2 through the first two weeks of play. The Lady Gators will look to get back on track this week with a home doubleheader against Warren Central on Tuesday, a home game with Warren East on Wednesday, and a road tilt with South Warren on Thursday.

5. Russellville                       6-1 

     Outlook: Russellville has started 6-1 for the second time in as many seasons, blasting by Murray in the Spring Break Bash at Murray High in Week 2. The Lady Panthers now travel to Trigg County and Franklin-Simpson before playing their first home games of the season against Glasgow (Thursday) and Hopkins County Central and Trigg County (Saturday) as part of the Kelly Russell Classic.

6. Logan County                  4-5 

     Outlook: Logan County started the season 4-1 with a win over Greenwood; however, the Lady Cougars dropped all four of their games in Week 2, including an 0-3 mark at the Grayson County Spring Break Bash. Five games are scheduled this week for Mark Wood’s club, including two on Saturday at Russellville in the aforementioned Kelly Russell Classic.

7. Russell County                 4-0 

     Outlook: Russell County is undefeated through the first two weeks of the season, including two one-run victories over Marion County and Southwestern. Scott Jones’ club will travel to Clinton County and Metcalfe County this week for two district games before hosting Monroe County on Friday.

8. Allen County-Scottsville 6-3

     Outlook: In each of the Lady Patriots’ six wins, the club has won by at least ten runs. Coach Brad Bonds’ squad has already score 94 runs through nine games. AC-S is scheduled to play in the Butler County Round Robin this weekend in Morgantown.  

9. Todd County Central             4-1 

     Outlook: The Lady Rebels are off to their best five-game start since 2016. Coach Casey Williams’ team will travel to Jo Byrns High in Cedar Hill, Tennessee and to Logan County before hosting Hopkinsville to close out the week.

10. Monroe County              5-2 

     Outlook: Monroe County has been involved in six games that were decided by seven runs or more. The Lady Falcons have four wins of at least seven runs and two losses by at least twelve runs. Treg Turner’s club will look to improve its 1-1 district record this week with games against Barren County and Allen County-Scottsville.
