         Outlook: South Warren remains undefeated after beating Warren East, 1-0, last week behind Emily Reynolds’ RBI double that scored Brooklynn Becker and proved to be the game-winning hit. The Lady Spartans host Bowling Green on Thursday before playing Christian County, Covington (TN), and McCracken County in the Greenwood Border Battle this weekend.

2. Warren East                            10-3                    1      

         Outlook: The Lady Raiders have won five-straight games after dropping a 1-0 decision at South Warren last week. Phil McKinney’s club hosts Greenwood on Thursday before traveling to Owensboro to partake in the Kentucky 2A Championships. Lucy Patterson has made a smooth transition from the hardwood to the diamond where she is batting .476 with 20 hits and 13 RBI through the first 13 games.

3. Barren County                        9-4                      3

         Outlook: Barren County started the season 9-0 before dropping four-straight games, including a 2-0 decision at Warren East on Monday. Cora Bogue leads the Trojanettes with 17 hits and a .405 average. Alyssa Curtis leads Barren with 13 RBI and three home runs. Daryl Murphy’s team travels to Glasgow on Thursday, Bowling Green on Friday, and hosts Cumberland County on Saturday.

4. Greenwood                              5-4                      4

         Outlook: The Lady Gators dropped district games to both Warren East and South Warren in Week 3 but picked up victories over Warren Central (twice) and Glasgow to improve to 5-4. Josi Morrison has had a solid start to the season, knocking in 12 runs and batting .348. Greenwood travels to Warren East on Thursday before playing three games in the Greenwood Border Battle on Saturday.

5. Logan County                         9-6                      6

         Outlook: Logan County rebounded to win five-straight games after dropping five-straight last week. Over the course of the five wins, the Lady Cougars outscored opponents 58-6. Kaylin Page is hitting a whopping .529 with nine extra-base hits, 27 total hits, and 10 RBI. The only remaining game in Week 4 for Mark Wood’s club is a road date with Jo Byrns in Tennessee on Thursday.

6. Russell County                        9-2                      7

         Outlook: The Lady Lakers are 9-2 heading into Week 4 after going 4-2 in Week 3. Six players have 12 hits, led by Emma Popplewell with 15. Popplewell also leads the team with a .469 batting average. Sitting 2-1 in district play, Russell County will now host Clinton County and McCreary Central to wrap up their week.

7. Russellville                              11-3                    5

         Outlook: Russellville dropped district games against both Franklin-Simpson and Logan County but picked up big wins over Glasgow, Trigg County, Hopkins County Central, and Caverna. The Lady Panthers will be playing in the All-A Classic state tournament this weekend, starting with a game against Somerset in Owensboro on Saturday.

8. Allen County-Scottsville        10-5                    8

         Outlook: The Lady Patriots extended their win streak to seven games before dropping a 6-0 decision to Butler County last Saturday. Hadley Borders leads the club with 27 hits, ten doubles, ten stolen bases, and a batting average of .540. Allen County closes its week with a home game with Franklin-Simpson on Thursday.

9. Metcalfe County                     7-5                      NR

         Outlook: Metcalfe County remained perfect in district play after beating Clinton County, 7-5, on Tuesday. The Lady Hornets sit atop the 16th District standings at 3-0 as Braelyn Davis bats a whopping .610 with 25 hits, 16 runs, and 10 RBI. Brian Garrett’s club hosts Cumberland County on Thursday and travels to Clay County (TN) on Friday.

10. Monroe County                     6-6                      10

         Outlook: Monroe County lost four-straight games to teams ranked inside of our top ten, but the Lady Falcons righted the ship on Tuesday with a 10-6 win over Glasgow. Alyssa Pickerell is batting .514 on the year with 18 hits, 17 runs, and 13 runs batted in. Treg Turner’s club will host Marion County on Friday to close out Week 4.
