Meadow Tisdale, Bowling Green Senior
Named the 14th District Player of the Year, Meadow Tisdale led the Bowling Green Lady Purples to their fifth-straight 14th District and fourth-straight 4th Region championship. The senior forward averaged 13.2 points per game, while grabbing 7.5 rebounds per contest as well. Tisdale ranked second in the state in field goal percentage at 63.9%. She will leave the Lady Purples as one of the most decorated and successful players in program history.
Tanaya Bailey, Bowling Green Senior
Tanaya Bailey was instrumental in the Lady Purples’ 4th Region four-peat over the course of her career. Her senior season was no different as she averaged 10.8 points per game in 2022-23. The definition of consistency, Bailey seemed to always find a way to make the right pass or make a timely shot – all while defending at a high level.
Kayla Grant, Greenwood Senior
Kayla Grant ended her career averaging a double-double in her senior season with 15.8 points per game and a district-leading 12.3 rebounds a night. Grant’s efforts helped Greenwood make its second 4th Region Tournament appearance in three seasons (after missing it completely from 2013 through 2020).
McLaine Hudson, South Warren Freshman
In her freshman season, McLaine Hudson led South Warren in scoring at 11.3 points per game and was second in rebounding at 5.1 a night. She also hit 40 three-pointers at a 34% clip. Hudson helped lead the Lady Spartans to a 17-14 record and a #2 seed in the 14th District. It was the program’s first winning season since 2019.
Saniyah Shelton, Bowling Green Senior
Saniyah Shelton capped off a successful career averaging 10.1 points per game on 43% shooting. One of the best rebounding guards in the region, the senior grabbed 6.9 boards per contest as well. The Eastern Kentucky signee recorded a rare quadruple double this season against Central Hardin as she scored 14 points with 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 steals.
Leia Trinh, Greenwood Junior
For a second-consecutive season, Leia Trinh led the 14th District in scoring. The junior averaged 19.0 points per game at 37% from the field with 67 three-pointers made. After being upset by South Warren in the 14th District Tournament in 2022, Trinh helped the Lady Gators upset the Lady Spartans in 2023. She scored 21 points and hit the game-winning three-pointer to defeat South 48-45 and secure a berth in the 4th Region Tournament.
