Congratulations to Franklin-Simpson Wildcat LaReesha Cawthorn on being recognized as Toyota of Bowling Green Scholar Athlete. LaReesha is not only a great basketball player, but she is an amazing human being. She is a wonderful role model for the youth in Franklin.

LaReesha has a full schedule which includes college courses at the local tech school and being a peer tutor in FMD classroom (Functionally and Mentally Disabled).

She exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete. She is one of the best players in the state, but she still makes time to talk to the many people that want to stop and talk to her.

  • All District Tournament Team- 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025
  • All Regional Tournament Team- 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025

Academic Achievements:

  • Enrolled in multiple Advanced Placement Classes
  • Top 10% In the Class of 2025

LaReesha will be continuing her education post-graduation as a golden eagle at Tennessee Tech University. She received a full athletic scholarship to this prominent University.

About Toyota Scholar Athlete

During the sports season, student-athletes are recognized as outstanding Scholar-Athletes and are awarded a one-time $500 scholarship courtesy of Toyota of Bowling Green & Toyota of Gallatin. Therefore, LaReesha will be continuing her education post-graduation at Tennessee Tech University. She received a full athletic scholarship to this prominent University. Afterwards, she will pursue an education for the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles. Then, she will graduate.
