Bowling Green opened up play in the TJ Samson Classic in Metcalfe County on Thursday night and they were also looking to increase their win streak to a red hot 7 games. It was evident early that was to be the case as they opened up the game on a 20-2 run that set the tone for the rest of the night. Joe Ayers had several highlight plays as he slammed a rim-rocking Dunk over Joseph Freeman of North Hardin in the third quarter. Ayers finished the game with 14 points and the high point man for Bowling Green. Nacarius Fant also was a bright spot coming off a good tournament down at Paducah Tilghman. Fant finished with 11 points and was the cause of four or five steals that got the game going for Bowling Green. Perry Ayers and Cheivy McCutchen both finished with 10 points on the night.  The swarming defense and the half court traps gave Bowling Green a big advantage in the first half and lead to transition buckets on the offensive end.

Tony Jackson was the only bright spot for North Hardin as he finished with a game high 15 points as he was left to battle on his own for most of the game. Kevon Davis picked up a quick 6 points in the fourth quarter for North Hardin and finished with 10. Bowling Green will play the winner of Barren County and Garrard County tomorrow night at 8 here at Metcalfe County.
