Purples Close Out District with Win Over Raiders

IMG_6230While it was the Raider still playing for a shot at the #3 seed, it was Bowling Green who came out ready to go.  Joe Ayers set the tone early, putting in the first eight points for BG.  Warren East did not score a field goal until the final minute of the first quarter and the Purples led 19-7 after one.  Bowling Green continued to go down low and build a big lead, up by as much as 27 at one point before the Raiders had an 8 point run in the fourth quarter.  Warren East was able to bring it in as close as 12 in the fourth, but BG was able to make free throws down the stretch for the 80-65 win.  Four Purples reach double figures in the winning effort.
We head to Russellville next Tuesday for our last regional matchup!  Catch it all live on PurplesNation.com!
