Per Warren East Athletic Director Jonathan Vincent Girls Head Basketball Coach Aaron Richmond, and Boys Head Basketball Coach Casey Simpson have both resigned their positions citing personal reasons. In an Email regarding Richmond Vincent stated “Warren East appreciates the hard work and dedication Coach Richmond has given the girls’ program over the last three years as our head coach.” Additionally in an email regarding Simpson Vincent stated, “Warren East appreciates all Coach Simpson has strived to accomplish as our basketball coach for the last five years. He has been instrumental in changing the culture of our boys’ program, as well as getting students interested in playing basketball while having three straight winning seasons.”
Vincent also indicated the search to replace Richmond and Simpson will begin immediately and no timetable is set for the hiring.
