No Treat or Treat for the Dragons against Highlands

Warren Central hosted Highlands in a rematch of arguably the game of the year in the Bluegrass State from a season ago, but this one would not be the classic of 2013.

Highlands started quickly and took advantage of prodecural and post-snap penalties on both sides of the ball to take a 28-0 lead, largely by the running of senior Griffin Urlage. Quarterback Beau Hoge had 100 yards and three combined touchdowns in the first half.

The two teams both moved the ball effectively in the first half, but Central’s yardage was often on very long fields compared to several inside-the-40 starts for Highlands. At the half, it was 35-0 with Central only really threatening once, falling short on a fourth down conversion.

The second half saw little scoring with the running clock. It would end 43-0, though the Dragon backups were inside the 5 off a 44 yard throw from Chauncey Greer to Dylan Hale. Time expired before Warren Central could execute the next snap.

The Dragons finish the regular season with a loss and 6-4 overall but will host Christian County next Friday at 7:30. Live coverage throughout the Dragons run at GoDragonNation.com.
