Dragons Battle Hard but come up short against Purples

In an highly anticipated district 14 doubleheader, Warren Central could not find their winning ways, falling in both games to the Bowling Green Purples. In the first matchup, the Lady Dragons of Warren Central surprised many by taking a lead into halftime. Tied after three periods, the Lady Purples played their best when it counted, out scoring Warren Central 20-12 in the final period to coast to a 54-46 win. Zakoria Hill was named the Bluegrass Cellular Player of the Gamer after scoring eight points and playing great defensively. The Lady Purples advanced to 18-3 on the season while the Lady Dragons fell to 8-13.

In the second matchup, it was a back and forth affair. Bowling Green dominated early, but Warren Central battled back to tie the game at the end of three periods. Down three points with ten seconds left, the Dragons missed the game-tying three and the Purples escaped with their 12-game win streak intact, winning 66-61. Skyler Potter was named the Bluegrass Cellular Player of the Game after scoring a team-high 14 points and playing good defensively. The Purples advance to 18-2 on the year while Warren Central falls to 12-8.
