Bowling Green Independent Schools and the Sporting Times outline new partnership

Bowling Green Independent Schools has partnered with Sporting Times as their exclusive broadcast network, creating the Bowling Green Purples Sports Network. The network will offer viewers four different platforms to watch events including STFANCLUB.com, the Sporting Times App (free) on ROKU, the Sporting Times app (free) on Amazon Fire TV, and ST Facebook Live.

At the conclusion of all live-streamed games, videos move to OnDemand status for later viewing.

The Purples Sports Network presented by ST Livestream includes the following sports coverage for the 2021-2022 school year:

  • Varsity Football: home, away, and postseason
  • JV and Freshman Football: selected games
  • Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer: selected games and post-season
  • Volleyball: home games, selected away games, and postseason
  • Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball: home, away, and postseason
  • JV Boys and Girls Basketball: selected games
  • Varsity Baseball: home, away, and postseason
  • JV Baseball: selected games
  • Varsity Softball: home and postseason
  • JV Softball: selected games
  • Varsity Swim and Dive: selected home meets

ST Livestream will also provide coverage for Bowling Green High School graduation ceremonies and other events per request.

Additionally, to expand opportunities to students, Sporting Times will soon launch the Sporting Times Education Program (STEP) for Bowling Green High School students to receive hands-on instruction and practical experience in the areas of broadcasting, video production, game production, photography, sport reporting, sales and marketing. Representatives from the Sporting Times will visit BGHS in the coming weeks to meet with students and distribute applications to interested students.
