Bowling Green Ranked No. 1 In Kentucky Associated Press Poll

Bowling Green’s boys’ basketball team now sits atop all of the state, as the Purples were ranked No. 1 in the Kentucky Associated Press Boys’ Basketball Poll released Monday afternoon.

The Purples (15-2 overall) have reeled off eight-straight wins, including a victory over defending state champion and then-No.8/now-No. 10 Paul Laurence Dunbar on Saturday night in the State Farm Shootout at South Warren High School.

Head coach D.G. Sherrill and his club sat in third place in last week’s poll, but were able to climb all the way to the top this week after receiving 141 total points.

Bowling Green returns to action on Tuesday night on the road at No. 7 Christian County (13-2). Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CST.
