Central Hardin Fires Past Meade County!!!!
In a late season matchup of teams from different Regions, but similar styles, Central Hardin and Meade County found themselves in a tight game going into the fourth quarter.
The Green Wave had taken a 29-28 lead going into the fourth quarter, but the Bruins responded with five straight points by Mason Rothrock (a three-pointer) and sophomore Jacob Hobbs (a layup) to go up 33-29 and didn’t look back. That coupled with senior shooter Steven Thompson’s 11-points (three three-pointers) allowed the Bruins to escape with a 47-35 win over the Green Wave.
Neither team showed a really hot hand as both struggled from the field (Meade was 14-35 and Central Hardin was 15-35 ), but when it counted the Bruins seemed to have just enough to win.
It didn’t help that the Green Wave was without center James Baker a player which helps enhance their offense and it showed. Still, it was a good game between two teams trying to tune up just before their respective District Tournaments.
