Clubb “I saw a team that was not…….

_MG_3511Coach Derrick Clubb has never looked more disappointed this season than he did on Monday night during his post game comments to Jason Martin.
“I saw a team tonight that missed free throws. I saw a team tonight that wasn’t focused.”
Todd County Central trailed by ten after the first period at 22-12 but cut the lead to four, 32-28 at the half.  Jon Michael Brown led all scorers in the game with 24 and had 15 in the first half, most from beyond the three point arc.  Zach McDaniel had eight to lead SW over the first sixteen minutes. He would finish with 13 and be named Total Fitness Connection Player of the Game.
At the end of three periods, South Warren still held a 39-38 lead, but in the fourth, multiple charging calls called on SW on made field goals, several “and-one” situations for the Rebels, and a fleet of missed free throws and turnovers plagued South Warren.  Two Jon Michael Brown free throws put his team up by five with less than ten seconds to play and the Spartans simply did not have enough time to mount a last second comeback.
SW falls to 7-9 on the season as they travel to Edmonson County to play on Tuesday night.
Zach McDaniel – 13
Brad Logsdon – 7
Jacob Smiley
Dayton Gumm – 5
