Total Fitness Connection’s Dynamic Dance All-Stars team combines expert dance instruction with TFC U Sports Training to win first place.

The Dynamic Dance All-Stars from Total Fitness Connection brought home a first place win this year all the way from Orlando, Florida. The team attended the Universal Dance Association High School National Championship at Disney’s Wide World of Sports. The competition was held over two days and included over 300 teams. Dynamic Dance placed first in the Senior Prep Division. Dynamic Dance is coached by Stephanie Pennington. Stephanie coaches several teams in the area. Sean Hamilton (Total Fitness’s Lead Performance coach) describes his experience training the All-Stars;

“We were very happy to work with the All-Stars. We started them on a 16 week speed and agility program. They attended a total of two sessions per week for an hour session.”

Sporting Times: “Have they ever been through sports enhancement training before?”

Sean: “There first week session was a real eye opener for them. The team struggled with the notion that the handwork they are putting in will ultimately enhance their performance in competitions. Part of our program here is to educate the athletes on how their training will benefit them and what results they can expect as a return from training. They came around and got to work.”

Sporting Times: “What do you think about your All-Stars winning first place?”

Sean: “I’m very proud. After the (2) 8 week sessions the girls were acknowledging the fact that their dance activities and performances were a lot easier after going through our Sports training program. I can see that the team has increased in strength, explosion, and form. I’m looking forward to their next sessions where we will be focusing on the strength training portion of the program.”

Sporting Times: “We noticed a familiar face in the photograph, Courtney Dalcourt.

Sean: “Yes, Courtney has been with us for a couple of years. He was instrumental in the growth and development of the All-Stars team. Each of the girls can’t wait to be back and look forward to working with Courtney.”

Sporting Times: “Courtney, how do you feel about your All-Stars winning first place?”

Courtney: “It’s no surprise to me that the girls would be national champions! Every day I worked with them. I demanded high intensity and great effort. They went beyond what was expected. It just goes to show you that handwork and perseverance does pay off. I’m extremely proud of the ladies.”
