Dragons Finish 8-0 in 14th District. Green Pours in 22 Against Gators

_MG_4341Central led it by 10 early but it was relatively close after one…then Greenwood would open up the second period on a 10-0 run to lead by 5 at 26-21.  Alex Schneller scored 12 in the first half and Coach Unseld’s team, who entered undefeated in both the region and the district, saw eight players score in the first sixteen minutes.  The Dragons were led by Jared Savage, who had five.  Rondell Green, Byron Carver, and Kobe Caldwell, who tied it at the buzzer with a pretty crossover and running one-hander, all three had four. It was 27-27 at the break.
In the third, Central would outscore Greenwood 22-13 to hold a 49-40 lead going into the final district period of the season.  Rondell Green had ten in the period and would finish with 22 points…a clear Total Fitness Connection and GoDragonNation.com Player of the Game. Central finished strong, on a 16-7 run after Greenwood had cut it to 5.  The Dragons win it 71-57, finishing an 8-0 district season, their first undefeated mark since 2008.
