Dragons Start Slow; Finish Strong vs Russellville

By Jason Martin:

Warren Central didn’t score for the first nearly three minutes of their home game against Russellville on Tuesday night, but they made up for it. At the half, behind solid perimeter shooting and blistering full-court pressure, they led the Panthers 50-22. Keenan Jordan led all scorers with 12 as Kobe Caldwell and Tristen Murray were just a half step behind at 11 a piece.

Things certainly appeared to be well in hand for Coach Unseld as the team entered the second half, and to save you the trouble of feeling dramatic tension, those appearances were absolutely correct. Four Dragons finished in double figures, 13 Dragons scored in the game, and no starters played in the final seven minutes. It was the second straight 80 point game for Warren Central, who cruised to a 92-43 victory. It was their eighteenth overall win of the season and the eleventh win in region play.

Up next for the Dragons, a road trip to Greenwood on Friday night.

FINAL: WC 92, RUSSELLVILLE 43 (Caldwell 17, Jordan 12)
