Dragons win by 18, move to 3-1

Warren Central traveled for the third week in a row to unfriendly confines but showed up ready to play after a tough loss to DeSales last Friday to beat North Hardin 32-14. Early it was a bit of a feeling out process, with the Trojans striking first on a 60 yard screen pass for junior RB Taven Graves, who proved to be extremely elusive all night long. IMG_0660 (640x619)

Chance Shanklin would find Jensen Feggins for a TD and it was a 7-6 ball game, then Colin Burnam ran one in from five yards out and Shanklin finished the conversion to take the lead at 14-7, which is where it would stand at halftime.

North Hardin tied it early in the third quarter and then it became the Burnam show. He would run another short one in, then score from 13 and 49 yards, finishing with four touchdowns on the night. Defensively, junior Payton Donisi took over the game for the Dragons in the second half, pressuring QB Isaiah Bankhead, sacking him a few times and forcing him to scramble into another Warren Central defender.

A close game until the third Burnam touchdown and then Central flexed a bit of muscle to get the 18 point victory to advance to 3-1 on the season. They finally head back home next week to host Barren County. That game kicks at 7 and STBN GoDragonNation.com coverage begins at 6:50 with Jason Martin and Brandon Haghany on the call from WCHS.
