Future stars from around the region take center stage this Saturday February 2nd at Bowling Green Jr. High.
Southern Kentucky Middle School All Star Game Information
This year’s game will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at Bowling Green Jr. High School. This event will involve a game and other competitions to highlight players’ skills such as shooting, passing and ball handling. There will be a 7th grade game beginning at 5:00 pm and an 8th grade game beginning at 7:00 pm. This event is set to host the most talented middle school basketball players in southern Kentucky and will allow the players throughout our region to compete against top talent and learn from coaches throughout Kentucky. In addition, multiple media outlets, high-level, sponsored AAU team coaches and coordinators, and recruiting services will be present to help increase the exposure for athletes throughout southern Kentucky.
The West All-Stars will be comprised of players from the following: Todd, Logan, Franklin Simpson, Russellville, BG, Moss, Warren East, South Warren, Drakes Creek.
The East All-Stars will be comprised of players from the following: Barren, Glasgow, Allen, Monroe, Clinton, Cumberland, Metcalfe, Russell, Hart, Caverna.
Doors will open @ 4:00pm
Cost of admissions will be $6
All players will have a highlight reel put together
3 point contest, 2 man hot shot competition, and skills challenge at halftime of each game
Multiple AAU organizations have confirmed their attendance. All are seeking 7th and 8th grade players to fill roster
A basketball from NBA all-star weekend will be given away
An MVP trophy presentation at the conclusion of the game
A team trophy presentation at the conclusion of the game
All players will receive a gift bag courtesy of Spalding Basketball
