Elizabethtown storms into the State Finals

It’s not too hard to figure out why the Lady Panthers have gotten this far in the KHSAA Girls Basketball State finals this season. Defense and Erin Boley.IMG_0103

Elizabethtown has allowed an average of around 40-points a game and although, they were a bit above that average Saturday Night against George Rogers Clark, they still figured a way to come out on top. Behind Superwoman (Erin Boley’s ) 20-points and 8-rebounds, the Lady Panthers were able to build a 40-26 halftime lead and eventually defeat Clark County for the right to play Butler for the state championship tomorrow at 3:00 pm. Elizabethtown had to overcome a 23-point effort by Lexxus Graham, but will be able to add on to their state title resume (their only other title was in 1998) and give coach Tim Mudd and daughter senior guard Kinsey Mudd a nice going away gift in the process.

The Championship game is set for today as Elizabethtown 32-4 take on Butler 31-3 for the Houchens Industries KHSAA Sweet 16 title. Game time 2:00 PM.
