How fast is Gary Settles in the 100 meter dash? Fast really fast.
Settles a senior at Glasgow High school last year at the state track and field championships finished second in the Class 1A 100 meter dash behind junior Andre Klaaassen from Whitefield Academy. Settles ran a 11.29 and Klaassen ran a 11.09 to claim the championship.
What a difference a year makes as Settles recently ran a 10.82 in the 100 meter dash at the Warren East Raider Run held at WKU. Settles will be looking to bring that speed this year’s Kentucky State Track & Field Championships as he welcomes all challengers.
