         Outlook: Bowling Green has won six-straight games and are 2-0 in District 14 play. Eli Burwash and Carson Myers have been a deadly duo both on the mound and from the plate. Burwash is batting .435, has knocked in 19 runs, and has stolen 13 bases through the opening 14 games. Myers is batting .424 and has knocked in 13 runs. On the mound, Burwash is 3-0 with an ERA of 1.11, recording 30 strikeouts in 19 innings of work. Myers is 2-1 with an ERA of 0.88 and has struck out 27 batters in 16 innings.

2. South Warren                         8-3                               4

         Outlook: South Warren’s big week on the diamond included three wins over teams ranked inside of our top five from last week. The Spartans have now won six games in a row, four by three runs or less. Senior Tanner Graves is batting .480 with 11 RBI, four doubles, and has been walked eight times.

3. Russell County                        10-3                             3

         Outlook: Russell County ran its win streak to seven with two five-inning wins this week over Casey County and Cumberland County. The Lakers are 2-0 in district play and will play six times in eight days starting with a Thursday meeting against Clinton County. Junior Nathan Lawson has terrorized both pitchers and batters this season, batting .476 with 20 RBI and three home runs at the plate. He is 3-0 on the mound, striking out 28 batters and an ERA of 0.00 in 19.1 innings of work.

4. Warren East                            10-4                             7

         Outlook: Warren East knocked off top ten foes Greenwood, Glasgow, and Barren County and are 10-4 through the first four weeks of the season. Brady Dragoo has been sensational on the mound, striking out 46 batters in 21.1 innings while amassing a record of 4-0 with an ERA of 0.66. The Raiders will compete in the 2A state championship this weekend in Owensboro, beginning with a 4:00pm game against Harrison County.

5 Greenwood                              8-7                               5

         Outlook: Greenwood sits 1-3 in District 14 play, losing twice to South Warren last week before splitting with Warren East. The Gators will look to build on the East victory, hosting Glasgow on Thursday before partaking in the LIT this weekend. Bryson Brockman is batting .405 and has 17 hits, 17 runs, and five extra-base hits on the year.

6. Franklin-Simpson                  6-5                               6

         Outlook: After going 0-3 at the Warren County Invitational, the Wildcats have rebounded to win four-straight games, two in district play. Jake Konow leads the team with an average of .478 and has 11 hits and seven RBI on the year.

7. Glasgow                                   7-5                               2      

         Outlook: The Scotties lost three games this week to top ten opponents, including two one-run losses to Franklin-Simpson and South Warren. Sam Royse’s club has been dominant in district play though, sitting at 3-0 while outscoring opponents 46-15. Cole Bunch has pitched in three games this season and the Scotties are 3-0 in such games. His ERA is 1.50 and the senior has struck out 17 batters.

8. Logan County                         7-6                               NR

         Outlook: Logan County has won five of six games, scoring 47 in the last two. The offensive outbreak has been led by Macon Barrow. The senior is batting .463 with 19 hits, 15 runs, 11 RBI, and eight doubles. The Cougars close out Week 4 with home games against Warren Central and Metcalfe County.

9. Barren County                        8-4                               9

         Outlook: Barren County picked up two wins to start Week 4, a 15-0 victory over Hart County and an 8-7 decision over Allen County-Scottsville. Cody Moore is 4-0 in four starts and has recorded 18 strikeouts. Road games at Bowling Green and Franklin-Simpson this weekend will reveal where the Trojans sit within the 4th Region pecking order at this juncture in the season.

10. Clinton County                   7-6                               10

         Outlook: Clinton County lost in the opening round of the All-A Classic state tournament, but Jared Bertram’s club rebounded to win its next two games by a combined score of 33-0. Blake Harlan has engineered the offensive output, batting .513 with 20 hits, 16 runs, and eight RBI.
