Greenwood bests South Warren in Meijer Classic

Greenwood and South Warren squared off in their final games of the Meijer Holiday Classic at Bowling Green High School on Friday afternoon. It what would be a back-and-forth game, the Gators prevailed, winning 61-50 to end its tournament play on a positive note.

The Gators (9-6 overall) last lost to Doss on Thursday night, but regrouped today and found a way to win.

Senior guard Dawson Crump scored 20 points to lead Greenwood and sophomore guard Jack Roberts dropped 15 points while senior forward Alex Fee added a 13-point production.

Junior guard Colin Moore paced the Spartans with 15 points, who fell to 4-11 overall on the year.

The Gators return to action on Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m. against Daviess County at home while South Warren takes the court again on Jan. 6 against Glasgow at home. That game has a scheduled start time of 7:30 p.m., as well.
