Greenwood High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Zach Simpson to the position of Head Coach of the Girls’ Basketball Program. Coach Simpson is a 2008 graduate of Western Kentucky University and comes to Greenwood from Logan County High School where he has been a Varsity Asst. Coach for the past seven seasons.
While at Logan County, Coach Simpson served as the Head JV Coach and varsity assistant where he helped lead the Logan County Lady Cougars to three straight district championships and four 4th Region tournament appearances. The past two seasons the Lady Cougars have had a 43-19 record, with Coach Simpson’s help. We are extremely excited about the experience, energy, and excitement that Coach Simpson is bringing with him to our program and feel that he will continue to build upon the tradition of Greenwood Lady Gator Basketball.
