South Warren took top team honors with a 296, 10 strokes better than Greenwood (306). Franklin-Simpson placed third with a score of 310, followed by Bowling Green (314), Glasgow (323), and Clinton County (338). The entire teams from South Warren and Greenwood advance to the state golf tournament next week in Bowling Green.
The individual regional champion was Dawson McDaniel from South Warren who scorched Dale Hollow with a seven-under par 65. Greenwood’s Canon Claycomb took second with a round of 67. Warren East’s Dean Carruthers (72), Glasgow’s Chase Landrum (73), and Barren County’s Jon Brewington (75) were the individual qualifiers for next weeks Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac State Golf Championships.
Carruthers, Brewington and Dawson McDaniel will be making their first appearance in the Leachmen Buick GMC Cadillac State Championshiips.
