Lady Dragons Sweep Greenwood Finish 4-4 in District

_MG_4499Coach Joe Hood’s Lady Dragons came back home hoping to end the District hoops season with a .500 record and in the early going, Greenwood fought hard to make it difficult.  Just a four point game after one, it was junior Noochie Patterson and sophomore Tia Barnett, who both scored ten in the first half, that got things going.  Central led by 5 at the break, 32-27.
In the second half, Angel Hill became the star, finishing with 16 points, but it was her defense in the open floor that led to several steals; a few she finished herself at the rim.  She was named Total Fitness Connection and GoDragonNation.com Player of the Game.  Coach Hood’s team finishes 4-4 in district play, sweeping the season series with Greenwood as well as Warren East.  Up next, a road trip to Apollo tomorrow before coming back home to play Allen-County Scottsville on Tuesday night.
Tia Barnett – 19
Angel Hill – 16
Noochie Patterson – 10
Lauren Maupin – 20
