Lady Purples Rebound to Face Franklin-Simpson In 4th Region Semis

Not a favorable draw for the Lady Purples.  The defending Regional Champ and 14th District Title holder began their run through regional play on the road taking on Allen County Scottsvile.  The Lady Patriots beat Bowling Green earlier in the season 58-48, but that was with Morgan Rich still in uniform.

After ACS went on a nine point run to take their first lead of the game, Bowling Green scored six in a row to close out the first quarter on top 16-15.  The Lady Patriots defense buckled down in the second though, as BG would go almost four minutes without a basket.  Allen County Scottsville went into the locker room up 32-25.  The Lady Purples were not ready for their season to come to an end, and came roaring back in the forth behind the leadership of Gabrielle Pruitt and the hard work of Taylor Hunter.  BG only had 2 turnovers in the second half, and were able to knock down key free throws late to seal the win 60-55.  Gabrielle Pruitt led the Lady Purples with 14.  They will play again Saturday afternoon, taking on the winner of Franklin Simpson and Clinton County.
