Lareesha Cawthorne, Russellville Sophomore
Named the Sporting Times’ 13th District Player of the Year, Cawthorne led the Lady Panthers in scoring (17.5) and in rebounding (13.1) this past season. The sophomore’s 13.1 rebounds ranked fourth in the entire state of Kentucky. Cawthorne helped lead Russellville to its first region tournament victory since 1993.
Gracie Borders, Logan County Senior
Gracie Borders was the district’s second-leading scorer at 16.4 points per game and rebounder at 10.7 per night. The senior led Logan County to a 13th District runner-up finish and the Lady Cougars first appearance in the 4th Region Tournament since 2020.
A’miyah Collier, Russellville Senior
A frequent member of the 13th District All-Hoops Team, Collier ended her high school basketball career with a bang, averaging 14.0 points on 39% shooting. She also led the Lady Panthers to their first 13th District championship since 1999.
Nora Epley, Logan County Junior
Nora Epley drained a district-best 64 three-pointers this season as the Lady Cougars returned to the 4th Region Tournament after a two-year absence . The junior averaged nine points per game and will be called upon next year as the primary scorer with the graduation of Gracie Borders.
Malyea Partinger, Franklin-Simpson Senior
Malyea Partinger checks in on the 13th District All-Hoops Team after leading the Lady Wildcats in scoring at 10.7 points per game. The senior guard helped lead Franklin to an undefeated regular season in district play despite the midseason loss to Hadley Turner due to injury.
Alexis Taylor, Todd County Central Sophomore
Alexis Taylor is another frequent member of the 13th District All-Hoops Team after a sophomore season in which she averaged 16.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. Both marks ranked her in the top three in the entire district.
