Bowling Green, KY – The Legacy Christian Academy Eagles won the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association (KCAA) High School Boys’ Basketball State Championship for the first time in school history. The Eagles were led in scoring by Ant McAfee (35), Cole Phillips (12), Trace Stivers (9), and Ryder Harbaugh (8). McAfee (9) and Stivers (6) led the team in rebounds while Phillips (5) and Harbaugh (4) led them in assists. Ant McAfee was recognized for scoring 1,000 points for the season, named Tournament MVP and to the All-State Team. McAfee, Ryder Harbaugh and Trace Stivers were named to the All-Tournament Team. McAfee and Cole Phillips were selected to play in the KCAA All-Star game being held Saturday, March 9th at Brescia University in Owensboro.

The Eagles had a record-breaking year. The team won a school record 32 games; had their first season undefeated at home; and won the KCAA Tip Off Classic for the first time in school history. Coach Shaun Cummings said, “I couldn’t be prouder of this team. What a year. Some things you can’t explain. God has a supernatural way of working things together for our good. These guys were champions before they had the hardware. On the court and off, they leave a legacy. God has blessed our school with a great group of young men. Now, we honor Him and give Him the glory. Great things He has done!”
