Braylee Mann, Clinton County Senior

Named the Sporting Times’ 16th District Player of the Year, Braylee Mann led the district in scoring at 15.6 points per game and was one of the district’s top rebounders at 6.3 rebounds per game. The senior forward shot 50% from the field and 75% from the line. Mann was diagnosed with Acanthamoeba Keratitis in her eye but persevered to finish off her basketball career on top.

Juliah Bault, Russell County Senior

Bault helped the Lady Lakers reach their twelfth-consecutive 4th Region Tournament. The Lindsay Wilson-commit averaged 14.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game to lead Russell County. Often a triple-double threat, the senior shot 43% from the field, made 32 three-pointers, and shot 75% from the free-throw line.

Kassady London, Metcalfe County Freshman

Kassady London is one of two freshmen named to the All-Hoops Team for the 16th District in 2021. The Lady Hornet guard led Metcalfe County with 13.0 points per game and shot 51% from the field. London also sunk 33 three-pointers and was 46% from beyond the arc, while going 74% from the free throw line as the Lady Hornets won their first district title since 2017.

Star Marcum, Russell County Senior

Eclipsing the 1,000-point mark during her senior year, Star Marcum finished the season averaging 14.5 points per game and was third in the district at 6.8 rebounds per contest. The forward scored 22 points in the district semifinals to ensure the Lady Lakers’ trip back to the 4th Region Tournament.

Landree Moons, Clinton County Freshman

Already in her third season of varsity basketball, Landree Moons averaged 12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for the Lady Bulldogs. In a late season win over McCreary Central, the freshman scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Clinton to victory.

Maggie Morgan, Cumberland County Junior

Maggie Morgan is the 16th District’s only player who averaged a double-double in 2021. The junior forward averaged 11.2 points and 10.8 rebounds per contest. She amassed 259 rebounds over the course of 24 games for the Lady Panthers. Morgan led her club in field goal percentage at 44%.
