Miss Double-Double Logan County’s Lady Cougar Kennedy Nichols

Another outstanding season for Coach Finley Baird’s Logan County Lady Cougars. The Lady Cougars have quietly amassed a 21-10 record this season as they prepare for the 4th region tournament. One of the big reasons for their success is the efforts of junior center Kennedy Nichols.

Nichols has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the paint. Nichols work ethic has paid off this season by the numbers she has generated, ranked in the state averaging a double-double in rebounding and points.

“She has to work extra hard on the court to get the calls during the games when she is being fouled, just because she is so strong and so dominate around the rim” said Coach Baird .

She currently averages 10.2 rebounds per game and 11.7 points per game. She has averaged a double-double 16 out of the 30 games that she has played thus far. Kennedy shoots 52.8% from the field, which is pretty impressive!

“Kennedy is a huge part of the Logan County Lady Cougar success due to not only her statistical numbers that she produces on a constant basis but also in here leadership and never back down attitude” said Coach Baird.

No longer one of the most underrated post players in the 4th region, Kennedy Nichols has made her presence known.

Kennedy will be someone that her teammates and coaches will lean on for her leadership and production as they begin their quest for a 4th Region Girls title.

“She is and will continue to be one of the major cornerstones for this and next year’s Lady Cougar team” said Coach Baird.
