Fant also ended his BGHS career with 380 points scored, trailing only Avery Hibbitt’s 454 on the career scoring list at BGHS.  Fant’s 152 points scored this season was the 5th highest in a year by a Purple.  Avery Hibbitt also holds that mark with 206 points scored in 2005.

BGHS was 53-3 during Fant’s four-year career with the Purples.  Those 53 victories are the most in a four-year span in BGHS Football history.  Fant was a part of three Class 5A state championships and help the Purples to a 44-game win streak which is the state’s third longest according to KHSAA statistics.

Since Kevin Wallace became the head coach at BGHS in 1996, 24 players have signed letters of intent to play college football at the Division I level.  Fant will become the 12th BGHS graduate to play at WKU during that time.  Other Purples to sign and play at WKU during Wallace’s tenure include Sylvester Gray, Patrick Reynolds, Kevin Goff, Daniel Withrow, Brian Lowder, Andrew Koon, Jay Bradford, Casey Tinius, Avery Hibbitt, Ryan Beard, and Ryan Wallace.  Ryan Wallace continues to be a part of the WKU program, serving as  the Tight Ends coach/Graduate Assistant.
