Niev Strawn has not only been a high achieving scholar, but she has also been a very active participant in the Gallatin High Marching Band. She marched in the band for 2 years, until she was selected by her directors to lead the band as Drum Major. She was also chosen by her class to be one of the basketball homecoming court queens. While devoting countless hours to band, she was taking some of the highest rigor classes offered. Niev is nothing but an exceptional student and leader.

Niev Strawn has led the band as their Drum Major for two years, spending about fifteen hours a week practicing, leading football games, and performing at competitions. In her Senior year, she led out and coordinated some of their halftime show.

Niev Strawn has a 4.0 GPA, is an AP Scholar, and is currently working towards her Seal of Biliteracy. She is the president and founder of the Gallatin High School chapter of the Spanish National Honors Society, a member of Jazz Band, a member of the National Honors Society, and a member of Student Council.

Niev Strawn is committed to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and will be studying Psychology, with a minor in Spanish. She hopes to pursue a master’s degree to be a psychologist, while also being able to translate Spanish professionally.
