Raiders drop first game of the season to Panthers

Warren East (3-0) looked to stay perfect as they welcomed the Russellville Panthers (0-0) to their house. The game was expected to be fast – paced, and it was right out of the gate. Bradshaw had 6 early points for the Panthers, which led to a 16-12 lead after the first quarter. An all around team effort for the Raiders in the second quarter would tie the game at the half, 29-29.

Bradshaw continued his marvelous night in the third quarter, adding 7 more to his total. Leading scorer Kaleb Britt for the Raiders came on in the third quarter scoring 8 points; this helped keep Warren East in the game down 54-44 after three quarters. The fourth quarter was all Russellville, as DeAndre Bradshaw would pour 7 more onto his 28 point night to give the Panthers a 76-60 victory.

Turnovers and lack of rebounding really did the Raiders in tonight. Kaleb Britt once again led Warren East in scoring with 20 points. However, Mackenzie Strange was the Bluegrass Cellular Player of the Game with 16 points and several rebounds and steals.
