Behind a few early buckets off the dribble from Day Bibb, Warren East took an early lead. They held on to that advantage after back-to-back
threes from Erin Houchins to put them up 14-8.

From there, Caverna took control of the game behind Madison Faulkner. Faulkner lead her team on a 33-9 run after the Houchins deep balls.
Faulkner ended the half with 22 points to lead all scorers.

Warren East closed the gap coming out of halftime with a three from Cailyn Howard and some more work off the drive from Day Bibb but then Caverna
regained control of the game.

Ciara Waggener emerged as a second option for the Lady Colonels and scored much of her 15 points from the fre throw line after Warren
East eclipsed the seven foul mark.

Howard would go on to add a three late in the game to give her seven. Sarah Peters did the same to total five points in the game. Houchins and Bibb
tied for the Lady Raider scoring lead with ten each.

In the second game, Warren East aimed to slow down one of the top scorers in the state in junior Mason Faulkner. Antwan Gilbert stifled
Faulkner in the opening few minutes but eventuallly Faulkner found his stride ending the first quarter with nine and his team up 21-16.

Warren East countered with three consecutive baskets from Eli Brown to close the gap to 28-25 but, from there, Faulkner hit two threes
to expand his halftime total to 17.

Coming out of the second half, East traded buckets with Caverna until an 8-0 run cut the lead down to 59-57. That stretch was lead by
interior domination by Eli Brown who had three consecutive buckets during that run.

Mason Faulkner once again took control from that point, answering every East basket with one of his own or a trip to the free
throw line. He ended the game with 48 points, 22 of those coming from the stripe.

East had the ball down 74-71 but a turnover, and a foul on Faulkner put the lead back out to a two possession game for good.

Warren East returns to the court tomorrow night at South Warren for a district doubleheader.
