Raiders Find Their Stride, Win Big Over Eagles

Warren East traveled to face Ohio County this week in which would be a dominating victory. A 63-0 win came after a first half that ended 49-0 and included a running clock.

The Raider’s passing attack struck first as two touchdown passes by Antwan Gilbert to running backs Antonio Shields and Anthony Eakles put the Raiders out front. The 65 yard and 25 yard touchdown passes were the first touchdown through the air for the Raiders this year.IMG_0872 (800x634)

The defense was the next to respond as Anthony Kelsey returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown. Kelsey had two interceptions on the night.

After another punt by the Eagles offense, an 85 yard touchdown run by Eli Brown extended the lead to 28-0.

Willie Reynolds was the final back to score for the Raiders as he had a 25 yard touchdown run and a 75 yard kickoff return for a touchdown to end his night.

Shields added another touchdown in the second half while John Reynolds returned another interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Ohio County offense only passed midfield twice in the first half. They will drop to 0-4 on the season while the Raiders improve to 3-1.

The will travel next week to play Hopkinsville.
