The Warren East Raiders shook off the rust in their return from the holiday break Wednesday, as they defeated the Logan County Cougars 72-57 at home.
The first 3 periods were a back and forth affair. The Raiders’ (7-3) Trequon Patterson and the Cougars’ (4-7) Austin Rayno led the charge for both of their teams matching each other shot for shot.
At the end of 3, Warren East held a slim 50-44 lead. A 7-0 run the start the 4th propelled the Raiders to their 7th win of the season. Patterson finished the game leading all players with 34 points while Rayno scored 26.
The Cougars will next play Jan 3rd vs Monroe County while the Raiders have a quick turnaround, a game tomorrow (Dec 29th) at home vs John Hardin.
