Raiders Offense In Full Stride, Hang 49 on Trojans

After a close loss last week, the Warren East Raiders rebounded nicely Friday night with a and win on the road over Barren County. The win gave the Raiders (2-4) even more confidence on the young season and doubled their win total from 2015.

The scoring started early for Warren East as senior QB Chauncey Greer found senior Patrick Sattefield for a 42-yard TD. The Trojans (0-6) responded with a 11-yard TD rush by Dalton Ford, but a missed extra point set the score at 7-6. Barren County continued their momentum next with a 8-yard TD rush by Jonathan Gott to make it 12-7, but those would be the last points by the Red and Gold.
42 unanswered points was the response by the Raiders. Warren East went back to old faithful as Satterfield broke a 54-yard TD run to give the Raiders the 14-12 lead, and they never looked back. Before the end of the first half, WE stretched its lead to 28-12 with a 14-yard score from Trevor Naftel and a 95-yard INT return for a TD by Greer.
Warren East finished the night with 3 more TD’s in the 3rd to get to a running clock and a win. Scores by Greer for a 2-yard TD, Greer to Satterfield for a 18-yard TD and a Greer to Caleb Huskey 34-yard bomb made the final score 49-12.
Warren East advances to 2-4 on the season and will next face ACS on the road on 9/30. Barren County goes to 0-6 and will next play @ Greenwood.
