During Senior Night at Logan County High School, Warren East dominated from start to finish in back-to-back weeks finishing with a 43-0 win. On the opening drive of the game. Warren East stucky to the ground game as they have all year. Anthony Eakles rushed three times for 30 yards and Eli Brown added four rushes for 40 yards and a score. Logan County returned the ensuing kick all the way to the Raiders 30 yard line but had trouble getting much further than that. East stopped the Cougars on downs, one the two times that happened in the first two quarters. On the second Raider possession, fullback Anthony Sanders took his first handoff of the game for 27 yards. Eli Brown followed that up with a 25-yard scamper up the left side line for his second score of the ball game. Warren East struggled brielfy on offense and turned the ball over with a fumble on fourth down by ELi Brown but senior Cougar back Luke Woodall returned the favor two plays later with a fumble of his own. The Raiders took advantage of the gift from the Cougars. Eli Brown broke to the left sideline and stumbled through a few arm tackles by Logan County. Brown kept his balance and flashed inside for his third score of the contest. Brown finished the first half with 73 yards rushing and three TDs. After another Cougar three-and-out, Warren East took over possession with 50 second left to play. Antwan Gilbert looked across the middle and found Eli Brown for a 24 yard completion that set up a 27-yard Logan Selvidge field goal to give East a 24-0 halftime lead. 4th and 29. east starts at 6 The first possesion of the second half for Logan County couldn't have went much worse. They started at their own twenty and ended up punting on 4th and 29 from their own one-yard line. That set up Warren East with a first down inside the Cougar ten-yard line and Eli Brown capitalized with his 4th TD of the evening. The Cougars punted on three consecutive drives and, after the third of those, Antwan Gilbert rolled to the left and pitched the ball to Anthony Eakles for a 16-yard score. Eakles combined for 186 yards and three TDs in the final two games of the year. THe running clock started after the Eakles score and Warren East tacked one more on with an 8-yard Damontra Watt rush out of the wing-T formation. East has outscored their opponents 106-0 in the last two games. The Raiders face Calloway County on Friday November 7th in the first round of the 4A KHSAA State PLayoffs.
