Depth and Experience:

The Lady Panther return 8 starters, Seniors Bailey Cox, Haley Embry, Madison Haycraft, Juniors Olivia Bradley, Amber Hurt, Erika Hinchcliffe, Sophomores Madallyn Peveler, Skylar Walden.

In addition, Coach David Sandifer expects big things from senior Mady Mikes and several juniors such as Andrea Paczkowski, Adrianna Bowman, and Diana Shaw along with sophomores Katie Buskill and Brittany Estes. The Panthers also have several new faces that will be vying for playing time and looking to contribute as well.

Team Strengths: Mature and sophisticated offense this season. Lady Panther’s midfield and attack are all returning players. Their defensive unit will be strong but new, so they may have some growing pains there.

Impact Players: Madison Haycraft has committed to the University of Evansville and Haley Embry has the talent to play at the next level. Olivia Bradley, Erika Hinchcliffe, Amber Hurt, Madallyn Peveler and Skylar Walden all have the potential to be very good college players.

By the Numbers: Last season the Lady Panthers had an overall record of 13-8-1, however in region play went 11-1 and in district 8-1. Their only loss in region or district play was to Owensboro Catholic in week two losing by 1, but played the Lady Aces 3 more times winning each match by a 1 goal. Offensively the Lady Panthers scored a total of 45 goals which put them in the middle of the pack for total goals in the 3rd region. 10 shutouts recorded with 4 of their 8 losses were by 1 goal. Defensively the Lady Panthers gave up a total of 28 goals during regular; district and region play second best in region 3, 1 behind Owensboro Catholic

About the Coach: David Sandifer moved from Atlanta in 1979 before high school or club soccer began in this area. His only avenue was recreational. He played on the first club team in Owensboro and then played 4 years at KWC, 1983-1986, He is beginning my 12th season has head coach at DCHS.
