The first half was back and forth including 7 lead changes. Greenwood took advantage of turnovers and converted them into fast break points with Hasanovic and Stockton. South Warren had to fight for every basket and was lead by tough play from Zach McDaniel and Jordan Buchanan. Buchanan was held out of most of the 2nd quarter with foul trouble giving Greenwood the chance to have the lead at half 28-26.
The second half was just as exciting as Greenwood held the lead for most of the half but it was never larger than 8 points. Dayton Gumm had a huge 2nd half finishing with 13 points coming up with big baskets. McDaniel finally got in the act as well as he made some big moves to bring it within 3 in the 4th quarter. It was too little in the end as everytime South scored Greenwood had an answer and that was the story of the game. Coach Clubb felt that his team was outplayed and Greenwood hit the shots down the stretch to doom South Warren.
