    Outlook: Warren Central hits the floor for the first time since the 2022 state championship game on Tuesday with a road game at 15th District champion Barren County. They close the week with a Friday night game in the Marshall County Hoopfest with Goodpasture Christian out of Madison, Tennessee.

  1. Bowling Green        0-0   

    Outlook: Bowling Green takes the court three times in Week 1 with two road games and a neutral affair. On Tuesday the Purples open the season in Henderson County before traveling to Todd County Central on Friday evening. Coach D.G. Sherrill’s club will then play Bardstown in the Domino’s Tip Off Classic at Campbellsville.

  1. Metcalfe County        0-0   

    Outlook: Expectations are high in Edmonton with an experienced team returning for coach Brandon Brockman. It all begins Tuesday evening with a home date against #5 Warren East. The Hornets will close the week with a road game at Butler County (Thursday) and a home game with Allen County-Scottsville (Friday).

  1. Franklin-Simpson        0-0   

    Outlook: Franklin-Simpson opens up its season with two home games against a pair of 16th District foes. Monroe County travels to FSHS on Tuesday evening before Clinton County comes on Friday to cap off an appetizing pair of games in Week 1.

  1. Warren East            0-0   

    Outlook: Warren East feels poised for a breakout season on the hardwood and will have a big opportunity for a statement win on Tuesday when it travels to Edmonton to play #3 Metcalfe County. The Hornets escaped the Raiders last year in the season’s opening week, 77-73. WE travels to Logan County for a Friday night matchup as part of the Kentucky Class 2A championships.

  1. Barren County        0-0   

    Outlook: Barren County has two opportunities to get its name on the map in Week 1 as it hosts defending 4th Region champion Warren Central on Tuesday in a rematch of last season’s region semifinals. The Trojans will then host Elizabethtown on Friday evening. BC defeated the Panthers, 58-47, last season.

  1. Todd County Central    0-0   

    Outlook: Todd County Central is looking to build off a successful 2021-22 season as it opens Week 1 with three exciting games. The Rebels host South Warren on Monday night, Montgomery Central of Tennessee on Tuesday, and perennial region favorite Bowling Green on Friday. Elkton locals will have a chance to see some good basketball this week.

  1. Greenwood            0-0   

    Outlook: Greenwood may not find itself ranked in the state’s top ten this season, but the Gators are still looking to contend in the 4th Region. On Tuesday, Will McCoy’s club travels to face off with 4th Region legend Tim Riley at Owensboro Catholic before returning home for a matchup with Russell County on Friday evening. GHS finishes up a busy week of travel with a game against Madison Southern on Saturday in Georgetown as part of the Jersey Mike’s Classic.

  1. Monroe County        0-0   

    Outlook: Monroe County will host Logan County on Monday evening before traveling to #4 Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday night. The Falcons close out a three-game week with a home date against Russellville on Saturday.

  1.  Russell County        0-0   

    Outlook: Russell County looks to contend in the new-look 16th District but will tip off its season with road games at Somerset (Monday) and Greenwood (Friday).
